Kubota Manufacturing of America is Hiring a 2nd Shift Safety Analyst Near Gainesville, GA

Position Summary

Lead the efforts to implement and sustain safety process for Kubota. Put strategic plans in place that will reduce workplace injuries to include the installation and maintenance of a behavioral based safety system. Conduct daily, weekly and monthly departmental and facility audits to ensure the safest working environment for the company and the employees. Conduct and coordinate all safety and related activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure annual OSHA compliance to include all reporting, contractor compliance, plan documentation, training and safety records.
  • Facilitator to safety activities.
  • Recommends change in policies and procedures for required safety programs.
  • Maintain safety and training records to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 programs.
  • Investigates both near miss and work related injuries, prepares reports to include PDCA process corrective actions and communicates via mandatory safety flash.
  • Perform hazard analysis/abatement reviews.
  • Provide safety communications (postings, employee meetings, etc.)
  • PPE Management to include assessments, availability of supplies, vendor management and support.
  • Provide New Hire Orientation support for safety related topics.
  • Compile and submit various Federal and State reporting including OSHA 300 Log.
  • Analyze and interpret scientific and legal documents including Chapters 29 Code of Federal Regulations for presentation.
  • Participate in government inspections from OSHA or other relevant agencies.
  • Perform investigational studies for exposure requirements that require the use of mathematical concepts and sampling theory. Concepts utilized include variance, statistical permutations, and logarithmic and exponential equations.
  • SDS Management.
  • New equipment installation safety check-off.
  • Supports and complies with established Company's Corporate Principles.
  • Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • English language competency including demonstrated verbal and written communication skills; ability to compose, edit and proofread documents
  • Ability to work under critical timelines, re-evaluate priorities and interact in cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with little to no oversight.
  • Ability to analyze and comprehend complex data.
  • 5 years of experience (preferred in a production and heavy machining facility).
  • Experience in delivering training at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHAS 18001

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • AS in Business or Applied Science
  • Certifications include: OSHA Blue Card certification, CSA or CSP. Certifications in Hazwoper, First Aid, CPR and/or First Responder desirable.
  • OSHAS 18001 certified auditor.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the team member must have the ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions, uses hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; ascend stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. In addition, the team member must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
