Our client is looking to add talented Service Technicians  to support its trailer service department in the Cedar Rapids area. Dedicated and dependable technicians who enjoy building and repairing for a living are encouraged to apply. Framing and carpentry skilled applicants tend to adapt well to the indoor environment, and those construction skills / talents can come in handy in our business.

We offer an experienced team environment that will teach you what you need to know. Experience with basic repairs such as brake jobs, air systems, undercarriage repairs, patchwork, and/or welding is a plus.

Responsibilities and duties:

We service and repair your towing equipment, trailers, and recreational vehicles in our Ashland, VA facility. Service technicians will have the knowledge, skill, and expertise to repair any component of a utility trailer. Our service department provides all types of service on Truck Conversions, Car and Cargo Trailers, Race Haulers and Horse Trailers. We can do almost any service work from mounting trailers hitches and winches, to installing lighting, air conditioning units, and other accessories. We re-skin trailers and we can even fill your LP tanks from our certified fill station.

Our technicians may learn/perform:

• Replace trailer components such as doors, floor, rail, roof, post, or side panels
• Diagnose, problem solve and repair Customer's Trailers
• Perform brake service, welding, tire service, wheel seals, axles, replacing parts, suspension, inspecting, hitch installation, electrical wiring, and painting
• Perform general welding
• Collaborate with management, and technician team and monitor progress
• Coordinate material and supply management with team
• Maintain neat and organized shop and parts showroom

Requirements:

Successful applicants for the full-time positions must be able to meet the physical demands of the job:

• Consistently lift a min. of 75 lbs – with assistance
• Ability to climb, bend and crawl
• Active and valid driver's license

Our ideal candidate:

Successful candidates with 1 years of equipment/trailer repair experience and/or 2 years in skilled construction labor.

Helpful Skills:

• Knowledge of both English & Spanish language skills.
• Experience with 2 cycle, small engines, gas, and diesel trucks.
