Kruger Inc. is Hiring a Financial Analyst, Real Estate (DC Area) Near Washington, DC

POSITION SUMMARY

Kruger Real Estate is a private investment vehicle of the Kruger family focused on the acquisition and development of exceptional real estate properties. Kruger partners with established real estate developers in various markets to build a portfolio of new and existing commercial and residential properties in Canada and the U.S.

We are looking for an individual that can help grow the company and existing portfolio by reporting on stabilized assets and underwriting new investments. The individual must be able to work well with our development partners to close on new deals and execute the business plan on existing deals. The successful candidate will be detail focused and analytical, with a desire and flexibility to take on whatever responsibility is paramount that day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and report on progress for properties under development or under renovation. Accomplished through the oversight of the activities performed by our Joint Venture partners.
  • Assist in evaluating potential investments with financial underwriting, research of market, and property condition analysis.
  • Engage consultants, contractors, and third-party service providers necessary for due diligence in the investment of an existing building or new development, and reviews reports and provides feed

  • Perform asset management of stabilized assets by reviewing reports of Joint Venture partners and consolidating information to show portfolio wide results.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages to investors and ownership.
  • Create, maintain, and update financial models for new deals and operating assets.
  • Draft investment memos.
  • Build slide decks for monthly Investment Committee meetings.
  • Gather and analyze market data from various sources, incorporate into charts and graphs for investor presentations.
  • Visit properties as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or related subject.
  • 1-3 years of relevant financial analysis experience.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate property financial statements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, specifically advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow analysis and real estate investing, including pro forma forecasts, financial ratios, and rates of return.
  • Experience writing high-impact, detailed reports summarizing the results of financial analysis and financial projections.
  • Ability to work from home and in the DC office.
