Kruger Family Industries is Hiring a Tool Crib Attendant Near Arlington, TX

Kruger Family Industries, parent company of Penda and TriEnda, recently opened a metal fabrication shop in Arlington, Texas. Be part of an industrial startup that has the support of an established, prospering company and help us continue to build from the ground up!

SUMMARY

The Tool Crib Attendant must have a strong knowledge of the inventory, including the item numbers, descriptions, and quantities. Works under close direction of leads and supervisors to maintain tool functionality, calibration specifications, and safe conditions by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Monitor tool usage and order replacements as needed, ensuring all tools are properly stored and accounted for.
  • Manages Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inventory.
  • Maintain records of usage, inventory, and repairs.
  • Receives, unpacks, organizes, and stores incoming inventory, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
  • Ensures that all chemicals leaving the tool crib are properly labeled with GHS (Global Harmonization System) labels.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies, and practices, such as utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.
  • Assists department on key projects and initiatives.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with regulatory requirements as well as company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to follow verbal and written instructions well.
  • Basic computer skills, including P.C knowledge and current technology software familiarity.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluency in English is required. The ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and the ability to effectively present information to all levels of employees including top management in a variety of settings is required.

REASONING ABILITY

The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists is required. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described in this section are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, walk, hear, reach with hands and arms, stoop and bend. The employee must seldom lift and/or move more than 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described in this section are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The production area temperatures can fluctuate significantly based on the time of year. The noise levels can be moderate to high. The use of hearing protection and safety eyewear is required while on production floor. The use of additional specific safety equipment may be required. The noise level in the office is usually quiet. The noise level in production is usually moderate.

WORK AVAILABLITY AND TRAVEL

Must have the ability to work all shift schedules, periodic overtime and be available for periodic weekend work.
