Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to provide individual therapeutic services at a rate of 15 billable hours a week.

  • Interface with legal referral sources for the Krossroads Justice-Involved Service (JIS) program
  • Must be able to follow the “Comprehensive Community Recovery and Re-integration (CR2)” program for JIS referrals
  • Must follow the agency “Full Circle Continuity of Care and Parallel Services Model" and Choice Recovery Path models.
  • Work professionally with all staff, clients, and community resources and attend regular clinical staffing meetings.
  • Follow agency policies and procedures.
  • Must have a valid NM license to practice.
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally in the state.

Supervisor: Chief Medical/Clinical Officer

Duties

To provide therapeutic interventions to clients with a behavioral health diagnosis and or substance use diagnosis in an office setting, or telehealth as needed in Santa Fe or Albuquerque.

The Clinical Supervisor oversees a wide range of behavioral health and recovery programs as well as provides clinical supervision to non-independently licensed Masters’ level counselors.

Duties might include overseeing IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) program and CCSS (Comprehensive Community Support) content and fidelity to the program modality. This role will coordinate with the CSW Supervisors and IOP program director on shared staff roles that offer group or IOP programs. Communication (via email), autonomy, and transparency are critical to successfully completing the goals of this position. Supervision activities should be documented according to State of NM BHSD standards.

This role can support interns and non independently licensed clinicians needing supervision hours via clinical staffing and individual supervision and inform the leadership of progress and performance.

A successful Clinical Supervisor must have a broad knowledge of behavioral health, addiction and recovery programming management principles, and skills. They must hold an independent Masters’ level license (LPCC, LCSW or LISW) with supervisory certification. The goal is to ensure clinical operations will be delivered successfully and add the highest possible value to the organization.

  • Coordinate regularly with other Clinical Supervisors, CSW Supervisors, and Executive Team by attending executive team meetings weekly

Responsibilities

  • Devise quality assurance and evaluation strategies to watch program performance and decide the need for improvements.
  • Read reports prepared by leadership teams to decide progress and issues.
  • Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal clinical policies.
  • Keep senior management informed with detailed and correct reports or presentations
  • Counsel and motivate providers, and refer advanced issues to upper management.
  • Ensuring practitioners follow licensure and registration requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance, accuracy, and quality of clinical documentation.
  • Developing programs and ensuring compliance with procedures and policies.

Other projects as requested per executive team decisions and strategic growth policies.

  • Follow Treatment Plans and use therapeutic interventions and evidence-based models i.e.. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MCBT), as well as other modalities to provide direct service to all clients
  • Clients and families served shall be provided with ethical, safe, therapeutic interventions relevant to their treatment plan.
  • These goals shall aim at driving clinical outcomes, building on strengths, and focusing on family integration and involvement when applicable.
  • Interventions strive to focus on all aspects of the client’s life including, but not limited to family systems, legal entities, social supports, recovery-focused supports, education, vocation, physical health, and well-being.
  • Therapeutic services shall collaborate with relevant entities while focusing on the whole person whenever possible.
  • Therapeutic services shall be provided in highly structured environments with specific clinical interventions to meet these goals.
  • Participate in all clinical and agency-required training.
  • Participate in employee progression plans (EPP)
  • Maintain CEUs required for State of NM licensure.
  • Maintain current licensure as required by state with N.M. Counseling Board
  • Be proficient at digital documentation in the electronic health record system Advanced MD
  • Complete documentation (case notes) within 24 hours of providing service
  • Be responsive to directives from both the executive team member and Chief Medical/Clinical Officer
  • Support teamwork with colleagues and be willing to be assigned clients to create caseload equity among colleagues
  • Work proficiently with clients (guide and track client outcomes, progressively work towards improving client skills, improve ongoing clinical skills)
  • Be physically able to carry out job duties necessary on a regular basis in person
  • Be available to work in the office assigned

Requirements

Social Work, Clinical Therapy, Counseling, Behavioral Health, Mental Health or related field.

  • Masters with minimum 2 years Supervisory experience preferred
  • Current Supervisory approval and LCSW, LPCC, or LISW licensure valid in the state of New Mexico
  • Training/Certificates in the evidenced-based curriculum used to treat substance use disorders preferred
  • Experience with and individual counseling, behavioral health and SUD/OUD
  • Demonstrates ability to provide clinical supervisory services
  • Must provide proof of continuing education on relevant topics upon request
  • Must provide proof of training(s) upon request
  • Must provide proof of license renewal prior to the expiration date of the license.
