Main duties and responsibilities
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Activities and Safety Equipment
- Sitting, climbing, lifting, push/pulling, dust mask, hard hat and high visibility vest required up to 1/3 of time.
- Walking, reaching and bending frequently required 1/3 to ½ of time.
- Seeing, hearing, standing, dexterity, written and verbal communication, ear plugs, safety glasses and safety footwear continuously required 2/3 or more of time
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of laminate flooring production, equipment and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Business, Mechanical Engineering or related field or applicable work experience
- Advanced knowledge of product quality standards and end uses
- 5 years in a position of leadership in a laminate or other wood panel manufacturing facility
- Excellent attendance record over a multi-year span.
- Excellent disciplinary record over a multi-year span.
- Strong mechanical aptitude; strong working knowledge of mechanical processes
- Knowledge of laminate flooring production processes
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate with all levels of associates
- Ability to lead through demonstration, communication, and reinforcement
- Ability to make logical, unemotional decisions in stressful situations
- A strong desire and willingness to both learn and teach
- High level of maturity and self-discipline
- Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and logical approach to problem solving.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and/or in a team environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Must have the qualities of stress tolerance, persistence, self-control, self-organization, integrity and flexibility
