SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Grade A PB Press/Dryer Operator's position is to perform all assigned tasks, including but not limited to, the safe, efficient operations of the PB Press, Dryer, and associated equipment. Additionally, the operator will be required to perform routine maintenance and cleaning on all machinery and workspaces in the assigned area of responsibility. The operator will be required to understand and manipulate computer software related to the operation of the PB Press/Dryer and associated equipment. The operator will also be required to identify conditions which may lead to substandard quality or up-time and initiate the proper corrective action. Further duties include mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and assisting maintenance personnel in the repair and preventive maintenance of equipment in order to support continuous operations on the production line. The Operator will fill in for the shift leader during absences.
This position will be required to work a rotating shift schedule including weekends.
Starting wage: $33.01/hour
Requirements
- Basic computer skills including the ability to manipulate a mouse, move between screens, and interpret data.
- Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and positive approach to problem solving.
- Excellent attendance record
- Excellent disciplinary record
- Intermediate knowledge of PB manufacturing processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of associates.
- The ability to diagnose machine problems and report to maintenance.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- The ability to perform preventive maintenance procedures by using power and hand tools, and measuring devices.
- The ability to read and comprehend complex data.
- The ability to work effectively with other members of the facility team in solving complex production problems.
- The ability to work independently without constant supervision and the ability to lead others.
