Krones, Inc is Hiring a Quality Technician 1 - 2nd Shift Near Franklin, WI

*This position is on 2nd shift. We offer a 10% shift premium; shift could start as early as 12 PM*

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Inspection of parts for conformance to drawing specifications, company standards and documenting per departmental procedures.
  • Assist in problem solving, disposition of rejected material and notification of affected personnel.
  • Recommend improvements to processes/procedures to enhance efficiency of workflow and quality of output and assist in executing those improvements.
  • Prioritize workload in order to accomplish departmental goals within the appropriate time frame.
  • Adhere to safe working practices and daily practice of 5S to maintain a clean and organized work center.
  • Create quality notifications for internal non-conformances within manufacturing.
  • Execute multiple transactions within the SAP Enterprise System.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum degree required : High School Diploma

Preferred degree: Associates degree

3- 5 years’ experience required within Quality inspection in machine shop environment.

  • Ability to read drawings, understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and proficient math skills.
  • Knowledge of the metric system and experience in using measuring instruments (e.g. go/no-go gages, calipers, micrometers, indicators, optical comparator, height stand).
  • Knowledge of gage lab processes and quality audit procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 standards
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be self-directed to research, investigate, analyze and document information to resolve problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.

Working Conditions

Generally good working conditions in a manufacturing plant. During summer months, exposure to heat and humidity may occur. Noise generally does not exceed 90 decibels however, there may be some infrequent exposure to high noise levels. Lifting 20# - 40# is about 75%; 50#-80# is about 15%; 100# or more is less than 10%. There is frequent pushing/pulling, bending, crouching and reaching. May require frequent opening of boxes/packages utilizing box cutting tools.

Pay: $19.50 - $27.00 per hour
