The Rapids Digital department manages all digital assets for Colorado Rapids Soccer Club, one of the founding clubs in Major League Soccer. This includes ColoradoRapids.com, the team’s space within the MLS App, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and a share of the weekly email communication. The department acts as the primary news & information outlet for the club and their goal is to amplify the brand and ethos of the club 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The group’s goal is to tell the story of the club like nobody else can, focusing specifically on visual content.

As part of the Rapids Digital department, the Digital Intern will assist in the full process of content creation and distribution. The intern will assist producers with shoots, edits, and logging footage. The intern will also assist the social media department with a variety of tasks including content capture, photo logging, and copywriting.

Examples of work performed:

• Log footage from games and training sessions.
• Assist with setup and teardown of interview shoots.
• Contribute to the planning and preparation involved in the various shoots and projects performed by the digital department.
• Contribute to brainstorm sessions and bring fresh and innovative content ideas to the table.
• Complete edit requests from internal and external departments.
• Assist during live Rapids games in a variety of areas; including shooting, editing, and other duties as needed.
• Log and distribute photos to the correct locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum
  1. Currently Enrolled in related degree
  2. High School or GED
  3. Experience with basic production equipment.
  4. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Compensation

• Base hourly range $18.29 per hour
• Interns Cannot work more than 29 hours a week
