Howdy,
I own a 10 acre property and I am looking for someone to help grow it with me. We have an 800 sqft greenhouse built onto our home with a 2,500 gallon rainwater capture tank. I am looking for someone to cultivate both the greenhouse and an area just outside of it. We need to setup the irrigation, plant for Spring, and manage it long-term. Eventually, we need help harvesting and would be open to help preserving or selling the food as well.
I am hoping to raise chickens at some point. Any experience with that is desired.
We have enough land for cows if you'd like to make that a reality.
I would really enjoy developing an aquaponics system and growing fish. We also have a small pond that could be developed into something large enough.
This job is flexible. Managing the greenhouse is top of list. If you can manage everything else, we can get serious with what a full-time role would look like. I have plenty of other odd jobs to help with if you want to stay busy. This includes building out a patio, helping me renovate other properties, and so much more. I want to start with a part-timer and build into the role as we develop trust. If you just want to stay part-time, no problem at all.
You must know how to plant, fertilize, irrigate, and run a basic farm. We are going organic throughout.
Cheers!
