Ideal candidates for this position should not be afraid to think outside the box and have the experience to keep things between the guardrails. Candidates will be a highly skilled carpenter or bags-on foreman who’s able to interface with customers, troubleshoot and identify problems, define work scopes, consult resources, gather materials, coordinate subcontractors and set schedule. They will supervise and execute field work to meet various goals and objectives established by Krekow Jennings and its customers. This construction professional is mostly working independently, drawing upon resources from Krekow Jennings at large and its affiliated vendor base. Specific assignments are allocated by the small projects manager.

Requirements

• Show a continuous ability to perform in a lead capacity, this is a bags-on role which will be involved in all phases of residential construction. A minimum of 5 years working as a finish carpenter or foreman is required

• Layout work for the jobsite crews

• Learn, follow, and enforce interior access protocols

• Set quality, production and safety expectations for subcontractors and Krekow Jennings employees onsite

• Know the details of subcontractor's work and maintain a 2-week look ahead schedule

• Maintain and acquire industry specific knowledge regarding operations, safety, equipment, methods

• Update the PM regarding the procurement of supplies and materials including coding and purchase authorization

• Possess the knowledge to complete frequent site walks and identify hazards, anticipate possible RFI questions, and anticipate needs

• Able to develop, update and maintain project schedule and assemble updates, utilizing a 2 week look ahead

• Able to coordinate and lead construction progress and OAC meetings

• Provide estimating and project development support to the small projects manager

• Able to coordinate plans and specifications while finding creative solutions to challenges related to constructability scheduling and budget while resolving and clarifying discrepancies with project team

• Capitalize on opportunities to assist with training and skill development – internally and externally

• Promptly address substandard work and be actively involved in the solution process

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37.00 - $48.00 per hour
