Kratos Space Training & Cyber is Hiring an Electrical Technician Near Orlando, FL

This position is for procurement of Commercial items (COTS) ranging from MRO to large electro-mechanical requirements. Must have experience with CPSR compliance and supporting an engineering-manufacturing environment. This is a very active and face paced environment with a small business mind set. Will utilize Approved Vendor List and MRP generated requirements to issue RFQ and award POs. Fabricate and install cables, harnesses, electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, and CCA's of various complexities using wire lists, wiring diagrams, drawings, and special instructions. May work with engineering, to diagnose and solve problems that occur during the manufacturing process.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Fabricate cables and harnesses per wire lists, wiring diagrams, drawings and special instructions
  • Install cables and harnesses in training devices per installation drawings and/or special instructions
  • Wire elctro-mechanical sub-assembles per wire lists, wiring diagrams, drawings, and special instructions
  • Perform continunity tests on cables, harnesses and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies
  • Evaluate and suggest changes or improvements to engineering drawings as required
  • Work with shop management and other company personnel to ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Extensive soldering
  • Work largely unsupervised in performance of daily tasks

Non-Essentail Job Duties

  • Work effectively and relate well with others
  • Read and understand wire lists, wire diagrams, and drawings
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Competent in many phases of electrical manufacturing

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years experience in manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Previous military experience is preferred

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

  • Work in a smoke free environment
  • Regularly required to stand for long periods of time
  • Long periods of sitting
  • The employee will frequently climb, kneel crouch, and/or balance
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
