Introduction:

Kratos Energy Solutions has multiple positions open for lighting retrofit technicians and project managers. Traveling piece-rate projects under way currently. Must be willing and able to travel out of state up to a week at a time. Our service area reaches from Maryland to South Carolina, West Virginia, and New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine and is rapidly expanding.

Job Responsibilities:

Applicant will be able to assemble, install, retrofit, troubleshoot, test, and maintain lighting systems including wiring, drivers, ballast, sensors, lamps, retrofit kits, and fixtures. Applicant will have knowledge of and adhere to all electrical codes and approved installation methods and standards for light fixture installations and safety protocol. Night work, split shift, travel a requirement, based on customer needs.
Travel lodging expenses will be provided by the company unless otherwise noted.

Requirements:

To be considered for work, all applicants must meet the following criteria.

  • Professional references proving experience in Lighting/Electrical service, maintenance or construction, or similar field of work.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive
  • Must have your own reliable transportation and tools
  • Must be able to travel out of state up to 5 days at a time
  • Good understanding of Ballasts, LED Drivers, and Lamps
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks and work from a ladder, scaffold or lift equipment.
  • Hand tool proficiency, team player, punctual, independent, dependable.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, open and accurate communication with other team members and managers is vital.

Certified Non-residential Lighting Technicians, Certified Journeyman Electricians or Certified Electrical
Trainees preferred. Must pass drug and background check. Lift certification training, CDL, OSHA 10/30, very basic spreadsheet, PDF and other computer experience a plus.

Job Type: 1099 Contractor / W2

Salary: $13.00 to $55.00 / hour piece work

Job Location: Warehouse located in Gaithersburg, MD.
Jobsite locations all over Mid-Atlantic area

Required Education: High school or equivalent

Pay: $17.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
