The following is a list of specific duties, which are considered to be essential functions of the Marketing & Communications Specialist position. POSITION SUMMARY

Identify, coordinate and design marketing materials and opportunities to promote all aspects of Kramer Tree Specialists revenue departments and client/employee communication strategies. Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase visibility and exposure of Kramer Tree products and services, as well as coordinating and initiating successful recruitment strategies and opportunities to identify skilled talent for employment acquisition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and sustain an overall marketing and recruiting strategy in line with corporate goals and objectives to increase market share presence of Kramer Tree products and services and positive exposure of career opportunities at Kramer Tree.

• Develop and evolve a successful recruiting strategy for all positions within the company to continually sustain a pool of diverse, qualified candidates to fill career openings across all departments.

• Identify, design and coordinate production logistics of Kramer Tree marketing materials, including print and online materials. Ensure all marketing materials are maintained to be available when needed at all times.

• Identify, design and maintain, with the assistance of Kramer Tree IT Coordinator, meaningful and effective web content for business website and online presence, including an active blog and relevant materials. Material to be in line with Kramer Tree branding, mission and core values.

• Maintain a strategic and consistent presence on multiple relevant social media platforms for client engagement and interaction to Kramer Tree mission, core values, products, and services.

• Identify, develop, design and sustain a strategic online marketing presence through email marketing as well as online ads or other virtual based strategies when deemed necessary and appropriate.

• Identify, coordinate, participate and assist with design and image at industry tradeshows, client outreach/engagement events and other business development opportunities, including sponsorship opportunities and promotion.

• Identify, gather, analyze, and interpret relevant metrics of marketing and recruiting strategies to determine performance and necessary adjustments.

• Maintain inventory of promotional items and materials to be used at tradeshows, client engagement events, recruiting and any other relevant events pertinent to marketing or recruiting.

• Develop a consistent branding and professional image policy of company apparel across all departments. Including the maintenance of apparel issuance and inventory, including uniform rentals, to be readily available for additions or replacement of apparel.

• Learn and understand all company services and product lines to continually develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase Kramer Tree market share and exposure to prospective and current clients.

• Ability to effectively work remotely and in the office with flexible hours and occasional weekends, travel will be required daily throughout the local area, with occasional overnight travel.

• Involvement in recruiting strategies and events as well as social media and email marketing campaigns.

• Represent Kramer Tree Specialists and its products, services, and employees in a professional image in line with company values and mission.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Arboriculture/urban forestry or related knowledge background, experience that portrays an understanding of the industry, Kramer Tree culture and relevant marketing strategies and opportunities.

• Experience or strong desire in marketing and design of print and online materials.

• The ability to effectively prioritize and complete multiple assignments in a professional and timely manner.

• The ability to preemptively identify problems and work in conjunction with others to implement effective solutions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for staff and client interactions, strong interpersonal skills.

• Excellent writing skills and creative mind to create engaging written content including email marketing, print materials, social media posts, blog content or other website content.

• Ability to lift up to a maximum of 25 lbs.

• Solution oriented personality and willingness to work with others to develop effective strategies and plans.

• Experience with MS Office, client database software, and knowledge of social media engagement tools and the various platforms and email marketing campaigns.

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive on a daily basis for extended periods of time.

PREREQUISITES:

• Minimum 2 years previous marketing, business development and professional writing experience

• Valid Illinois Driver’s license or ability to transfer from out of state within 90 days of employment
