SUMMARY: The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of job seekers and program participants, and responds to internal staff training and business customer needs. The Workshop Facilitator will work to identify training needs, develop appropriate training materials, and deliver engaging and effective training sessions. This role requires a strong understanding of adult learning principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with managers/directors and subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop training programs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Design and develop engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, videos, and job aids.
  • Deliver training sessions using a variety of methods, such as instructor-led training, workshops, webinars, and virtual training platforms.
  • Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, knowledge assessments, and on-the-job performance evaluations.
  • Continuously update and improve existing training materials and programs to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in training and development to incorporate into training programs.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and trainers, as needed, to supplement internal training programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities and progress, including attendance, evaluations, and certifications.
  • Provide guidance and support to job seekers and program participants regarding professional development opportunities and career planning.
  • Monitor and report on the impact of training programs on job seekers and program participants performance and organizational goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess training needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and provide data-driven insights 
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, coaching, mentoring and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with training evaluation models and methods 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and provide creative and entrepreneurial solutions to training and development matters.
  • Ability to cultivate and manage high quality stakeholder relationships and demonstrated ability to work with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to function at a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate with remote job seekers and program participants nationwide.
  • Ability to work occasional weekend hours and travel approximately 35% time.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Adult Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Professional certifications in training and development (e.g., CPLP, CPTM) are a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Personal computer literacy required, including effective use of the Internet, e-mail, video conferencing (Zoom, Teams) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
