KQED provides citizens of Northern California with a community-supported alternative to commercial media. We provide citizens with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions; convene community dialogue; bring the arts to everyone and engage audiences to share their stories. We help students and teachers thrive in 21st-century classrooms, and take people of all ages on journeys of exploration- exposing them to new people, places and ideas.This role will work hybrid between working inKQED's newly renovated headquarters and working remotely. KQED requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Essential Functions: 

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Kubernetes, Docker, and Spinnaker to automate deployment processes.
• Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters to support our microservices architecture, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring tasks.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure code quality throughout the SDLC.
• Implement best practices for security, compliance, and disaster recovery in cloud environments.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks and reliability issues.

Other Job Functions:

• Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely support for production incidents.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommend innovative solutions to improve our infrastructure and processes.

• 3 years of equivalent experience in related technologies

• Background in CS and work experience in a similar role
