KPS Global is Hiring a Maintenance Supervisor Near Conyers, GA
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the Maintenance team in areas such as machine servicing, preventative maintenance, electrical repairs, installations, building maintenance, HVAC, etc. This role ensures KPS Global's facilities are fully operational, effective, and safe.
Major Responsibilities
- Directing associates in the electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Assisting associates in diagnosing and correcting malfunctions of machinery and equipment
- Directing workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery
- Maintaining adequate parts inventory
- Developing and maintaining preventative maintenance work schedules
- Maintaining maintenance records to provide historical database of machine performance and repair history
- Working with Operations and Engineering management to develop, recommend, and implement changes to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
- Reducing down-time of the factory by proactively, quickly, and effectively addressing mission critical situations
- Recommending to Operations management when outside contractors are required. Manage contractors once engaged for duration of work assignment
- Fulfilling the financial control and risk management responsibilities inherent in the position
- Ensuring that all building and facility maintenance issues are handled; to include HVAC, fire protection, and security systems
- Maintaining all required human resource activities to include recruitment, coaching, counseling, performance management, and employee development
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in a normal factory environment subject to ambient temperature conditions
- Must be able to walk or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work flexible hours
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- 5 - 8 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing and/or technology
- Experience in Lean practices; Electrical/HVAC license
- Experience in Six Sigma preferred
- Basic level of expertise in MS Office programs
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication sills
- Familiar with production systems and processes
- Analytical thinker with a working knowledge of electrical power distribution and PLC's
- Significant knowledge in plumbing welding hydraulics and pneumatics
- Familiar with OSHA standards and the ability to react appropriately to any given urgent or crisis moment
- Strong project management skills and a high mechanical aptitude
- Bi-lingual English and Spanish speaker preferred
- Blueprint reading
