Title: Project Engineer

Site Location: Pacific Grove, CA

KPRS is a full-service general contractor, headquartered in Brea California, with offices in DTLA, Culver City, Pleasanton and Dublin, CA, as well as Hawaii with construction expertise in medical, technology, tenant improvement, public works, industrial, retail, multi-family, office core and shell, and hotel projects.

The Project Engineer will report directly to an APM or Sr. PM. The key responsibilities are inclusive of document control/distribution of project assignment, updating contract, obtaining submittals, shop drawings, samples from the subcontractors for Architectural/Engineering review by the Design Team, tracking the status of these reviews, checking the responses from the A/E, and returning these to the subcontractors for the required action. Attending OAC meetings is required as well as taking down meeting minutes to ensure proper documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 years of experience acting in the capacity of a Project Engineer for a General Contractor
• Prior experience overseeing the build of multi-family structures such as hotels, mixed-used, apartments, and/or senior living facilities
• Bachelors in Science degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management; preferred not required
• Proficient with software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Procore
• Basic understanding of Contract Drawings and Specifications.
• Effective communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
