KPC Promise Hospital of PHOENIX: The Nurse Manager is responsible for the coordination and management of the Nursing Services in the medical unit. He/She consults with staff, physicians, and Chief Clinical Officer on nursing procedures and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. The Nurse Manager supervises the provision of direct nursing care on a day to day basis and ensures adequate staffing for the nursing unit. The Nurse Manager must be able to manage department and the provision of nursing service according to the Standards of Nursing Practice consistent with facility philosophy of care and state and federal laws and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Must hold a current state RN license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the standards of the State Board of Nursing
3. Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
4. Two years long term acute care and acute care experience is preferred
5. Critical care experience preferred
6. Minimum three years of progressive management experience
7. 5. Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
8. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical: Walking - up to 50% Standing - up to 25% Kneeling - up to 10%
Sitting - up to 50% Pushing - up to 10% Bending - up to 25%
Squatting - up to 10% Pulling - up to 10% Reaching - up to 35%
Lifting - up to 30 lbs Wrist/Finger Movement - up to 90%

EXPOSURE RISK: Category I- Jobs in which required tasks routinely involve a potential for mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, tissues or potential spills and splashes. Use of appropriate measures is required for every healthcare provider in these jobs.
