The Role:

The nation’s greatest and most innovative secondary market Multifamily mortgage lender is looking to add a Senior Underwriting Analyst to its Western Regional Office. As a Senior Analyst on the conventional underwriting team, your role will be to support underwriters by managing the inflow of new multifamily loan submissions and assisting in preliminary underwriting. 

**This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days in the office and 3 days remote** (This can be edited based on the team’s work arrangement)

Our group is responsible for underwriting Multifamily conventional loans in the Western Region

Innovate based on market behaviors while efficiently analyzing, mitigating, and clearly defining credit risk

Evaluate the overall story and make decisions on the credit risk profile

Interact with a diverse group of coworkers, lenders, and borrowers

Provide stability and liquidity to the multifamily housing market by contributing to the company's mission-driven affordability goals

Your Impact:

Assists with credit quality of loan production and underwriting for a territory, group of customers and/or product type

Reviews incoming loan submissions for completeness and working directly with lenders to correct any deficiencies

Assists with evaluation of proposed loans for credit risk, negotiating and obtaining loan approvals, and overseeing the preparation and issuing of commitment letters

Assists creating and/or finalizing pro formas, rent roll analysis, market analysis, and review of third-party reports and borrower financial position

Conducts inspections, both virtually and in person, of multifamily properties that will serve as collateral for new loans

Learns to identify risks in proposed loans by becoming proficient with the company's Multifamily’s credit policy and lender guide

Relationship development: You will work to build relationships with our business partners at the company and our lenders

Process improvements: Engaged in innovation and a resource for feedback

Requirements

Typically has BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience, advanced degree preferred

1-3 years of real estate experience

Knowledge of real estate property fundamentals and real estate lending/underwriting

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

Ability to travel domestically
