The Role:

The Senior Production Planner will represent Manufacturing Operations as the POC on assigned projects/programs. Responsible for communications between Mfg Ops and program team(s) as assigned. Provides input and status on program IMS schedules and Earned Value Management. Has overall budget tracking and reporting responsibility for Operations budgets including scope changes. Coordinates all proposal activities on assigned product lines. Key member of the Change Management team.

Essential Functions:

Candidate will be a conduit between program office and Director of Operations for development, production and/or spares/repairs activity.

Responsible for all projects assigned to the divisional unit with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Manages Mfg Operations proposals, Estimates to Complete and drive day to day results on assigned programs.

Accountable for managing cost, schedule and quality as related to functions within the Mfg Operations organization.

Lead and collaborate with matrixed co-workers both within and external to Operations Directorate.

Ensure all readiness Mfg and Production Readiness Reviews are performed on assigned programs as applicable.

Provides guidance to subordinates and/or team members based on organizational goals and company policy.

Acts as an advisor to subordinate supervisors or staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.

Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.

Promotes lean initiatives that drive cost savings.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Earned Value Management Systems experience or knowledge.

Master Schedule Management experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Manufacturing operations management experience (preferably in defense electronics).

MRP experience.

MS Office applications – Project/Excel/Power Point/Word experience.

Active Secret Clearance
