The Role:

The purpose of Senior Payroll Analyst position is the accurate administration and timely processing of payroll. It involves paying employees (direct deposit and checks), processing special check requirements, withholding taxes and deductions and depositing those funds with the appropriate agency, making employer contributions, handling disability payments.

Requirements

Minimum Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field preferred. College credits in accounting preferred.
Minimum Experience: 10 years related experience, including payroll accounting background required. Former health care experience preferred. Previous experience with a payroll and timekeeping systems required (ADP and Kronos preferred). 
Certification Required: CPP Certification Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations. Recent Hospital Kronos timecard editing. Working knowledge of basic accounting principles as related to payroll processing. Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to change priorities quickly as circumstances dictate. Ability to interpret explain and comply with collective bargaining agreements, prescribed laws, rules, regulations and procedures. Knowledge of organizational structures, roles and responsibilities. Ability to maintain accurate records of payroll data.
Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of payroll database systems (ADP preferred). Knowledge of KRONOS time and attendance system. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
