The Role:

The Senior Compliance Manager will coordinate with Business Divisions in the 1st Line of Defense to effectively adopt the compliance risk management program across the enterprise

Continuously improve and supervise processes and controls in place to align with regulatory requirements and related policies and procedures across the company

Maintain relationships and compliance examinations of Charter and customer protection with FHFA, as the company’s Conservator and Regulator

Advise & collaborate with business units and enterprise divisions (to include Divisional Risk Officers, Enterprise Risk Officers, Legal, and Internal Audit) to manage compliance risk, including implementation of new regulatory requirements, oversight of new initiatives, reporting and escalation of regulatory matters and ongoing review of existing regulatory processes and controls

Build out and implement the company’s compliance risk management program for the company's Charter and consumer protection regulations in alignment with the framework pillars - I) Risk Identification, II) Risk Assessment, III) Monitoring/Testing/Controls, IV) Issues Management, V) Reporting, and VI) Risk Appetite

Conduct the compliance risk management oversight activities for the company and its third parties, including advising the business, crafting and implementing monitoring activities and contributing to testing over Charter and consumer protection regulations, including fair lending

Participate in collaborative leadership of compliance through strategic planning, talent assessment and development, and clear and open communications

Ensure appropriate compliance policies, procedures and training exist that address regulatory and risk management requirements for the Charter and Consumer Protection, including the company’s third parties

Continuously improve and maintain compliance program consistent with the compliance risk management framework and industry practice including

Coordinate compliance related business activities and collaborate to provide effective challenge as appropriate

Implement compliance training and awareness plans

Supervise issues and remediation plans pursuant to enterprise risk framework standards

Identify, measure, and report on risks to management and the Chief Compliance Officer

Requirements

JD, MBA, CPA preferred or equivalent experience

Minimum 10 years relevant compliance-related functional experience

Minimum 2 years leading risk management functions within large sophisticated financial organizations

Shown success operating in a 3 lines of defense framework

Strong team management and leadership
