**Our client offers a hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days a week in office.

The Role:

Our client is looking for a dynamic Global Pricing Leader to drive our pricing and contracting excellence efforts, focused on leveraging pricing actions to deliver business impact, improve margins, and enhance our processes across the Global Pharmaceutical Systems (PS) Worldwide business.

This role will be responsible for understanding the macro-economic environment that Pharmaceutical Systems (PS) operates within, the strategies that Pharmaceutical Systems (PS) is striving to achieve and then proactively ensuring our pricing strategies align with both. This Global Pricing Leader will be responsible for leading the worldwide strategy, price setting, governance, capabilities, infrastructure, and organizational plan to deliver on the business goals aligned to price and margin expansion across the PS regional and worldwide business goals. They will lead and evolve the PS Global Pricing Council, a cross-functional team of leaders, aligning on the strategies and ensuring successful delivery through executional efforts and impact.

Key responsibilities:
  • Unify and establish global pricing strategy across all platforms within Pharmaceutical Systems (PS) and regions, tying the pricing strategy and execution to the global Pharmaceutical Systems (PS) strategic plan and business goals
  • Partner with senior leadership team members across the company to achieve margin expansion with pricing efforts across the PS organization
  • Proactively monitor the macro-economic environment and how this will influence our pricing strategies and execution
  • Evaluate competitive price monitoring by gathering competitive intelligence, developing impact scenarios, and designing action plans to address.
  • Lead and facilitate the PS Global Pricing Council, which includes senior members of the Sales, Platform, Marketing and Finance Leadership Teams
  • Lead and align the global pricing team with regional pricing efforts. Integrate the platform, portfolio and regional marketing, finance, IT, legal, Sales teams in a matrixed organization to deliver price, value optimization, margin expansion and profitable growth, defined by the overall business goals
  • Support price setting and lead the global corridor process with the platforms and portfolio marketing
  • Guide continued development and expansion of recommended pricing tools, standardize across the global PS organization, and integrate with the ERP and CRM systems. Partner with IT and business leaders to deploy globally with a positive ROI
  • Lead and support the cultural change management for pricing transformation across the business. Partnering with HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Platform Leadership, Legal, Cross functional teams.
  • Lead the advancement of pricing skills and capabilities and establish the pricing discipline for the PS Sales teams
  • Guide continued development of the Contract Excellence program (including CLM), enhancing the strategy, processes, and tools worldwide.
  • Lead the Pricing Manager and Pricing Analyst responsible for operationalizing and implementing the pricing strategy as defined by the Global Pricing leader which includes pricing execution tracking, reporting whilst adhering to the governance process that will promote profitable growth across the whole product portfolio.

Requirements

  • Preferably B.S. or B.A. degree in science or business discipline, with focus in marketing and/or sales management. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in pricing, preferably in the medical device/technology Industry.
  • Demonstrated excellence in data manipulation in a global and cross-functional environment
  • Demonstrated excellence in presenting to commercial teams, senior leaders, and similar groups.
  • Proven experience in a team selling environment, cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, with a keen ability to synthesize diverse ideas/inputs into a cohesive execution plan.
  • Pricing management, business governance experience and understanding of financial concepts relevant to business planning
  • Confirmed history in influencing commercial teams to deliver growth through price and profitability management
  • Deep understanding of pricing data analysis and the translation of that analysis into simple price guidance
  • Experienced in working in a diverse multi-cultural environment
  • Project management experience, working in cross-functional initiatives

Professional skills & key competencies:
  • Fluent in English
  • Highly proficient in the use of Excel and PowerBI with experience of building strategic dashboards
  • Experience in working with a CRM, SAP/ERP, Vendavo
  • Possesses strong, expert knowledge in advanced strategic pricing models and tools including the required mathematical modeling expertise
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving orientation & proactive demeanor to change processes as needed
  • Strong analytical and data management skills, and experience in statistical techniques
  • Process driven with focus on delivery of results
  • Excellent Communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing.
