The Role:

The Corporate Accountant position will be a key member of the Accounting team and will play a significant role in the day-to-day operation. The Accountant will support a wide range of analytical and administrative functions for processing the monthly incentive compensation process. The Accountant will coordinate daily disbursement runs with the Treasury Department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and process the Firm’s incentive compensation program and be able to run the process independently.
  • Receive, research and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning the compensation process, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
  • Utilize systems required to input and manage the compensation process, including updates as needed.
  • Prepare detailed monthly reports for the compensation process for internal consumption.
  • Coordinate daily disbursement runs with the Treasury Department.
  • Process firm disbursement checks as necessary.
  • Maintain daily reconciliation of firm bank accounts
  • Effectively communicate with external departments regarding a variety of job related functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or related field preferred.
  • 3 years of relevant work experience. Commission processing experience highly preferred.
  • Strong organization, analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret large data sets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results oriented, accountable, motivated and flexible.
