The Role:

The Field Engineer, will contribute to commissioning, retro-commissioning, monitoring-based commissioning, energy efficiency retrofit and emergency response projects. Responsible for participating and applying principles learned in project group performance. The successful applicant will be supported by a team of industry experts who will nurture and develop your career. This position reports directly to the Commissioning Team Leader. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Sales & Client Relations:

Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the business by presenting a positive, professional, respectful and professional image to our clients

QA/QC:

Collect quality data following specified quality control procedures and alert project managers on any deviations in procedures

Verify that equipment is installed and operates as specified and designed

Creating pre-functional and functional test procedures

Participate in troubleshooting activities

Training:

Have a willingness and openness to professional development

Technical Expertise:

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports

Research and complete takeoffs to assist in proposal development, review specifications, help develop manuals

Learn to evaluate mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles

Design test control apparatus and equipment and develop procedures for testing product

Communication:

Written and verbal communication skills are essential as you will be contributing to commissioning specific documents that are written and delivered to our clients

Confer with internal senior engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information

Collaborate in a small team to investigate problems and diagnose engineering design issues

Begin to develop external communication (emails and memos) with review and approval from senior staff

Financial Management:

Requirements

BS degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Construction Management desired. 0-3 years of professional related work experience required.
