About the role:
Drivers are responsible for delivering products to customer accounts in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. We are seeking a dependable and organized Class A truck driver who possesses a great deal of physical and mental stamina.
Responsibilities:
· Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle
· Drive tractor with trailers up to 53 feet or 20 bay side load trailers, and 8-12 bay straight trucks
· Drive trucks with Gross Vehicle Weight over 26,000 lbs
· Pull a towed weight exceeding 10,000 lbs
· Comply with ICC and DOT regulations
· Perform pre-trip inspections ensuring securely attached trailer and tire inflation and wear
· Notify the Delivery Supervisor of any needed repairs
· Refuel and check fluid levels weekly
· Keep your vehicle clean
· Ensure truck inventory is correct and matches load sheet and daily itinerary
· Ensure load is properly secured on truck to prevent damage to product
· Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely deliveries
· Safely and efficiently unload and deliver preordered products into accounts
· Ensure the correct product is being delivered into each account and corresponds with customers invoice
· Fill product in accounts and maintain proper date rotation
· Obtain signatures or printed proof of purchase for correct deliveries at each account
· Pick up any product scheduled for return to warehouse
· Perform end of day requirements for check-in upon returning to the warehouse after completing all deliveries
· Communicate any delivery issues with Delivery Supervisor
· Adhere to company policies
· Obey all traffic laws and regulations
· Always make safety a priority
Qualifications:
· Must be 21 years of age
· Valid Class A driver’s license and valid DOT Medical Card
· 2 years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving (preferred)
· Clean driving record with no moving violations
· Must pass a background check and drug test
· Skilled at driving large vehicles
· Comfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailer
· Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
· Physically and mentally fit
· Ability to lift kegs up to 168lbs. at a time
· Able to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
· Proficient using GPS and other routing systems
· Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
· High level of composure and good stress management
