Kotarides Companies is seeking an experienced Corporate Claims Paralegal who will be responsible for managing the claims process and providing excellent customer service to and on behalf of our organization. This role reviews claim files and ensures that all documentation is accurate and up to date. The successful candidate will investigate claims, assess liability and damages, and participate in the settlement or litigation process. The Corporate Claims Paralegal will also provide support to other departments, such as marketing, risk management, and legal.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Intake all liability, property, employment related, workers compensation and federal benefit matters
• Report to insurance company as applicable and interface with adjusters on behalf of company
• Review claim files to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Investigate matters and claims to determine authorization, insurance coverage, liability and damages
• Assist and settlement matters with claimants
• Provide feedback and support to other corporate departments
• Refine existing procedures and develop and implement new procedures for claims handling
• Maintain records of all claims in database
• Provide periodic reports general counsel, department heads and senior management
• Monitor and report on trends in claims.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 5 years of experience in claims management preferred
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards
• Excellent research and communication skills
• Able to handle complex claims
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills
