Retail Pharmacy Technician

Full Time — 72 hours per pay period

M-F 9:00 am—5:30 pm

Rotating Saturdays—9:00 am—12:30 pm

Duties:

• Prepares prescriptions and related supplies for final verification by the pharmacist.
• Inputs medication orders into the computer for final verification by the pharmacist.
• Process charges and receipts on account in a timely manner.
• Answers the telephone promptly and courteously.
• Files prescriptions, stocks bottles and vials and performs other duties as necessary.
• Works with pharmacists to maintain appropriate levels of inventory, ordering from contracts whenever possible.
• Works with physicians to validate and verify prescriptions for any potential errors
• Checks for out dated medications and supplies
