Patient Access Representative—PRN
Will work varying shifts including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed to fill in.
Duties:
- Performs admitting functions for all patients entering the organization, including gathering patient demographic information and Medicare, Medicaid or insurance information.
- Greets patients and public as they enter and directs them to the appropriate department.
- Communicates with all departments to facilitate patient care, patient flow, and special needs.
- Operates the central switchboard and directs telephone calls, paging and taking messages appropriately.
- Will collect co-pays and other payments on accounts.
