Summary Overview:
The position for NIGHT PRODUCTION OFFICER reports to a client site in McLean, VA and is required to work a 4 PM- 12 AM schedule. Salary range is $120-140K based on qualifications. The candidate will work in an environment that provides editorial and electronic publishing support for finished external and internal intelligence production. The Night Production Officer serves as the final technical edit for all products prior to posting to the editorial site while using a wide array of resources to ensure error-free products and will supply other support as needed. Responsibilities:
- Support the timely dissemination of products by conducting a quality control (QC) scrub of content to ensure edited products adhere to the customer’s style guide, customer handbook, and quality standards
- Eliminate errors in classification markings, validate portion marks and banner markings
- Review required publication metadata and validate metadata tagging
- Process products and conduct QC on products for dissemination and archiving
- Produce Table of Contents and nightly verification email for partner
-Document changes that are made to products and communicate via email to the rest of team
- Ensure correct overall classification
- Run publication macros as needed to correct formatting and layout of products
- Review document metadata and correct as necessary
- Consult with team when errors require substantial format and/or text changes to correct
- Publish documents that have successfully passed QC review
- Ensure published files are loaded into system and sent to proper office for dissemination and archiving
- Attend meetings and training as required and as appropriate
