Job Details
- Identify All Email Users and Use Cases:
- Assess the volume and types of email traffic to understand the scale and scope of email usage.
- Catalog all entities that utilize the email gateway, including individuals and automated processes.
- Current Security Posture Evaluation:
- Review existing email policies, spam filters, virus protection, and data loss prevention strategies.
- Audit the current email security setup to identify vulnerabilities or existing threats.
- Barracuda Configuration Planning:
- Plan configuration changes, including rule sets for filtering, quarantine policies, and alert settings.
- Update Barracuda Configuration:
- Update applicable Barracuda configuration for all relevant entities.
- Testing and Adjustments:
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure all systems are operating correctly without blocking legitimate communications or leaving security gaps.
- Adjust configurations to optimize security without impacting productivity.
- Training and Documentation:
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with the existing team.
- Provide a "press release" to end-users, covering new features, reporting tools, and best practices for email security.
- Deliver documentation for the configurations, policies, and procedures put in place.
- Review and Feedback:
- At the end of the implementation, review the system's performance with the Tech team to ensure it is functioning as intended.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Barracuda Certified Engineer) are a plus
- Proven experience as a Barracuda Consultant or similar role with in-depth configuration experience (setting rules for filtering, quarantine policies, alert settings, while ensuring legitimate communications are not being blocked or that there are security gaps)
- In-depth knowledge of email security concepts and best practices.
- Experience with Barracuda products, particularly Barracuda Email Security Gateway.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
