Job Overview

The Field and Production Electricianis part of the team thatdelivers KORE's engineered solutions.

We are looking for an experienced electrician to undertake tasks related to electrical systems in our company. The position includes installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment. Because this position requires a very high level of safety awareness, the candidate must be responsible and pay great attention to all safety-related aspects of the job. Our ideal candidate is experienced in different electrical devices and systems and can inspect, diagnose, fix,and offer solutionsfor all of them.

Work is primarily based out of our Waterbury, Vermont office. However,you will be required to travel to customersites during system construction and integration.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Involved in all aspects of battery energy storage system production and integration, including electrical, mechanical, and controller fabrication.
  • Assisting with system installations at customer sites as needed.
  • Provide engineering support for production activities to ensure quality control and production efficiency.
  • Follow safety procedures and report any safety concerns to the Safety and Compliance Officer.
  • Stay current with product specifications, engineering technology, and production processes.
  • Assist in the development of best practices to improve production capacity, quality, and reliability.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment.
  • Test electrical devices and provide on-spot solutions.
  • Use tools such as voltmeters, megohmmeters, and ohmmeters to detect issues.
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance on electrical systems and discuss potential hazards with the safety team and management.
  • Install safety components and connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks.
  • Follow electrical codes, blueprints, and standards for ultimate efficiency and safety.
  • Document all your actions, including testing results and steps taken to resolve issues.

Reports To

Master Electrician and Field Team Manager.

Qualifications

  • Vermont Journeyman or Master electrical license is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of four years of experience working in commercial or industrial electrical.
  • A firm grasp of engineering concepts; experience designing mechanical systems and products is helpful.
  • Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
  • Must be self-motivated and a great team worker.
  • Knowledge of different electrical systems, blueprints, and power generation
  • Ability to use electrical and hand tools and craft electrical documents and blueprints.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and legal codes and guidelines
  • Good time management skills

Physical Requirements

  • The ability to communicate orally.
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges, with or without corrective lenses or an assisted hearing device.
  • Extended periods of standing are expected.
  • Some heavy lifting is expected; occasional exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force may be required.
  • Good manual dexterity is required for assembly and production work.

Work Environment

  • The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional manufacturing and production setting.
  • Secondary job requirements include travel with fieldwork which can consist of hiking, construction work, moving heavy objects, and wearing PPE for specific tasks.
