Job Responsibilities Oversees all aspects of environmental compliance at the Somerville Plant Responsible for compliance of federal, state, and local environmental regulations Responsible for compliance with all plant permits including but not limited to, Air permit, NPDES permit, POTW pretreatment permit, etc. Responsible for managing hazardous waste and shipments, and management of other waste streams Assist in the completion and submittal of all permits and reports required by federal, state, local agencies Conducts drip track inspections and communicates required repairs Responsible for the Wastewater Treatment plant, Stormwater outfalls and all required sampling. Take lead on all environmental audits and inspections Responsible for treated storage yard management, Environmental Technician will report to this position Responsible for Environmental data entry into FOCUS Responsible for managing sustainability initiatives Promote and champion Zero Harm and Zero Waste initiatives and culture across all plant operations and personnel Promote, coordinate, and drive Responsible Care efforts. Act as the backup for the Safety Coordinator Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field required 1-2 years of environmental experience required; 2-4 years of environmental experience in an industrial setting preferred Knowledge in environmental regulations required Good planning, analytical and communications skills with the ability to foster a team environment Team player, ability to set priorities, analyze problems, work independently, and manage time effectively Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills with the ability to use basic computer software COVID-19 Vaccination Policy All new hires must be fully vaccinated or be willing to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by date of hire to be considered for a North American based job, where permitted by applicable law and subject to requests for accommodation.
