Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff Dentist to join our team at Konza Prairie Community Health Center (Konza). The Staff Dentist will report to the Dental Director and provide comprehensive and emergency oral health care to patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a team environment, and have a passion for providing quality oral care to patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients presenting to the dental clinic and order necessary procedures for the diagnosis of oral-related diseases, considering the patient’s age-related, physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs.
• Plan and sequence oral/dental treatment based on the patient’s oral diagnosis and the patient’s age-related, physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs.
• Develop treatment modalities to enable patients with compromising age-related, physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs to receive oral care.
• Provide comprehensive and emergency oral health care to patients.
• Educate patients on oral health care and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance the integrated approach to patient care.

Requirements

• Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school.
• Current Kansas state dental license.
• Current DEA registration.
• Must be able to secure credentialing through third-party payers (Blue Cross Blue Shield, Delta Dental) and the state Medicaid program.
