We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to work at our mine sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget. As a key member of our team, the Operator will work closely with other crew members to ensure that work is completed to the highest level of quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, haul trucks, and loaders, to move rock materials and other heavy objects
• Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality
• Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs as needed
• Communicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed
• Develop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of ongoing work
• Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and that safety procedures are followed at all times
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during work
• Ability to perform duties outside of equipment including cleaning equipment, shoveling material, repairing equipment, taking care of conveyor belts, and other job tasks as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred
• 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment with experience in a mine/quarry setting preferred
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 50 per week
