Job description
THIS JOB IS FOR A PROJECT ASSISTANT ON HEAVY-HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS USING NJDOT SPECIFICATIONS.
Successful candidates must be able to:
- Operate Windows-based computer software (Microsoft Office programs, Adobe, etc.)
- Manage tasks for multiple projects and prioritize effectively
- Execute various contract forms and administrative paperwork with high accuracy
- Complete a wide variety of data entry, correspondence, filing, scanning, and other general office administrative tasks
- Communicate effectively through phone and email contact with project personnel, vendors, and subcontractors
- Track quantities for progress payments and change orders
- Track daily activities for bi-monthly schedule updates
- Call in routine mark outs on various projects
Strong organization, time-management, and follow-through skills are imperative. Prior work history at a construction company is ideal but not required.
Hours for this position are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, 1/2 hour lunch.
