Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an FPS Supervisor Protective Security to support KDS and our government customer in El Paso, TX.
This is a union position, and all benefits will be determined by the CBA.
The SPSO must perform all necessary guard services to ensure the safety and protection of building occupants and real and personal property against injury, molestation, loss or damage from any preventable cause including, but not limited to fire, theft, trespassing, espionage, sabotage, demonstration, civil disobedience or other hostile acts against the DEA. Additionally, the Supervisor will provide daily briefings to PSOs on shifts and is responsible for filing incident reports and coordinating with the PM to makeshift reassignments as necessary.
Post assignments may include but are not limited to the following duties: Entrance/Visitor Control, Roving Patrol, Relief Post, Traffic Control, Building Passes, Reports and Records, Utility Systems, Building Rules and Regulations, Lost and Found, Law and Order, Unauthorized Access, Hazardous Conditions, Injury or Illness, Civil Disturbances, and Emergencies.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Able to speak, understand, read, and write the English language fluently.
  • Capable of passing a drug screen and background check.
  • Capable of successfully completing 9 hours of supervisory training.
  • Capable of successfully completing: 64 hours of FPS PSO Basic Training; 40 hours of weapons training consisting of firearms, baton, and OC with live fire range/training practical application; and a Firearms Qualification course.
  • Present a professional appearance.
Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Current driver’s license
  • Current Virginia DCJS Armed Security Officer license or equivalent Texas Armed Security Officer license.
  • Successfully completed FPS PSO Basic Training within the last 3 years preferred.
Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
