HOUSTON FACTORY - POSITION SUMMARY

POSITION TITLE: Plant Master Scheduler

LOCATION: Konecranes Factory - Houston, Texas

SUMMARY:

Reports to Plant Manager. The Plant Master Scheduler will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and driving, the production schedule through the manufacturing team. This role will develop and maintain high Level and detailed production schedules working cross functionally with all departments.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, project management, warehousing, and manufacturing departments.
  • Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to delivery the projects on time
  • Maintain Factory Loading and Plant Layout analysis for future potential Orders.
  • Participate in factory kick off meetings monthly, provide clarity on production plan and schedule prior to and during the manufacturing cycle.
  • Participate in daily & weekly planning meetings. Provide analysis of risks and give inputs on mitigation plans while providing up to date production schedules.
  • Ensure that every employee involved in the production process has a clear understanding of what is required to meet the on-time delivery
  • Drive on-time delivery by monitoring and driving the timely completion of Quality hold points, manufacturing operations, FAT dates, shipping dates working closely with the production supervisor
  • Conduct Plant Layout Analysis, Postings of actual vs planned Layouts, and develop a daily list of planned moves each day in the Plant and communicate these to the production supervisor
  • Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments
  • Identify and communicate capacity concerns
  • Review resource availability and communicate concerns
  • Participate as part of the core group for: Andon events, Weekly OT Plans, Milestone Risks and Mitigation plans.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS degree a plus, or 3 years related experience production scheduling experience.
  • Proficient knowledge base in Production Planning.
  • SAP or other similar ERP experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to work cross functionally within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in MS office applications (Excel, Office, Word, etc.).
