Azure Cloud Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience with Azure cloud platform design, administration, and support
- Solid understanding of Azure architecture and services, such as Virtual Machines, Group Policy, MFA, Management Groups, Subscriptions, Resource Groups, Azure Regions, Azure Functions, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, Azure Savings Plans and pricing models.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure Automation
- Experience with ITSM tools, especially Service Now
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- After hours and weekend on-call support required as needed
- 8 years of demonstrated IT experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise level, mission- critical applications resolving complex issues/situations and driving technical resolution across cross-functional organizations
- Experience in one or more automation languages (PowerShell, Python, C#, Open Source)
Any Azure certifications are nice to have.
AWS Cloud Engineer:
- Infrastructure Deployment: Implement cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), ensuring consistency and repeatability of deployments.
- Platform Services Management: Set up and configure cloud services such as virtual machines, containers, databases, networking components, and other resources required for application deployment.
- Automation and Orchestration: Coordinate with DevOps Teams to develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of cloud infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
- Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices, access controls, and compliance measures to safeguard data and resources within the cloud environment.
- Scalability and Performance Optimization: Optimize cloud infrastructure to handle varying workloads, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness.
- CI/CD Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data protection and business continuity.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures. Share knowledge with team members and stakeholders.
- Vendor Management: Stay updated on the latest cloud platform features, updates, and services. Evaluate and recommend new services that align with business needs.
