Kompass Kulinary is Hiring a Beverage Director/AGM Near Belleview, CO

One of our brands, YaYa's EuroBistro, is looking to add an experienced Beverage Director/AGM to the team. Chef-driven. Creative plates. Prime steaks and fresh seafood are flown in daily. Our food is simple, elegant, and honest. The menu is inspired by a combination of American, Greek, French, and Italian cuisines. Our commitment to freshness and quality is first and foremost, as we use the season’s best offerings, and buy from local farmers and purveyors whenever possible. We also have one of the best wine lists in the Denver Tech Center.

The Beverage Director/AGM is responsible for managing the daily operations of our restaurant, including the selection, development, and performance management of employees. In addition, they oversee the inventory and ordering of liquor, beer, wine and bar supplies, optimize profits, and ensure that guests are satisfied with their dining experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise kitchen and wait staff and provide assistance, as needed
  • Keep detailed records of daily, weekly, and monthly costs and revenues
  • Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
  • Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus
  • Calculate future needs in bar supplies and equipment and place orders, as needed
  • Manage and store vendors’ contracts and invoices
  • Coordinate communication between front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house staff
  • Prepare shift schedules
  • Build, and maintain our liquor, beer and wine inventory

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Work experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software
  • Knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel)
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Good math and reporting skills
  • Customer service attitude
  • Communication and team management abilities
  • Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends)

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma is strongly preferred
  • ServeSafe certification is preferred
  • Certification in hospitality is a plus
  • Sommelier preferred

Compensation Information:

  • Salary for this position is in the range of $75,000-$85,000 plus bonuses
