Kollmorgen is Hiring a Remote Painter - 2nd shift

Painters are responsible for painting a variety of surfaces such as, Complete Motors, Metal Surfaces, Field Assemblies, Armatures, Test Panels, etc. A successful Painter should have good knowledge of paint mixing techniques, and a strong attention to detail. They must ensure that their work is consistent and uniform across all surfaces. This position will be joining the Kollmorgen team onsite in Radford, VA. Kollmorgen is part of Regal Rexnord. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The tasks/jobs include the following: Responsible for preparing parts and assemblies for painting. Mixing paint and other materials according to military specifications and work instructions or formulas. Utilize spray gun and apply paint in conformance with all specifications. Ensure facility and spray-painting equipment are in good working condition. Employ heat or oven paint drying techniques for special requirements. Scrutinize and measure parts to maintain quality control on thickness. Adhere to all OSHA, HazMat, and Company safety procedures with respect to storage and handling of materials in the area. Responsible for maintaining paint inventory levels for the area. Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED Good written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of arithmetic; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, and adjustable measuring instruments; posting, preparation, interpretation, use, and checking of reports, forms, records, and related. Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods. Continuous mental and visual attention; usually diversified operations requiring constant alertness or activity. Must be self-motivated and self-directed. Minimum of three years of progressively complex painting experience, is preferred. Physical Demand and Work Environment: Lifting up to 50 pounds. Standing for long periods of time. Using pressure to push and pull. Bending, stretching, reaching high and low locations. Must be able to wear respirator with performing job requirements.
