Kokua Construction Group is seeking a reliable, responsible, experienced full-time crew member with a truck and basic tools to work for Maui's fastest growing construction company. Candidates must have good problem-solving skills, be able to communicate effectively, and work well with other employees, clients, and vendors.

Duties:

• Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery and personnel

• Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors

• Recruiting, hiring, training, managing and mentoring employees and contractors

• Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices and safety needs

• Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets and procedures

• Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably

• Regularly reporting project status to supervisors, site engineers and other officials

Skills:

- Proficient in metal stud framing techniques
- Experience using power tools and hand tools for carpentry work
- Knowledge of roof repair and installation methods
- Strong skills in frame carpentry, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
- General maintenance person skills for various repairs and maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with water damage restoration processes
- Ability to apply caulk and perform sealing tasks accurately
- Experience in construction painting, including surface preparation and paint application

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
