Position Title: Manager of Sourcing and Driver Relations

Position Reports to / Supervisor: Director of Sourcing US

Position Description / Objective

The Role’s main Objective is to assist the Sourcing Director to maximize Airport Transfer Opportunities in the New York market through effective sourcing of rate-competitive and service-driven Freelance Drivers and Company Suppliers. Own all aspects of the commercial relationship with them, and other stakeholders, with the aim of continuously improving their offerings to deliver agreed upon rates and quality service deliverables.

Principal Responsibilities

• Assist Director in crafting the best business development strategy and tactics for the market
• Establish strong external and internal relationships with Freelance Drivers, Suppliers, Airport Landside Managers, Meet & Greet and Koi Operations & Dispatch Teams
• Lead sourcing efforts to attract, contract with and retain new Freelance Drivers; assist the Director in identifying new Suppliers and renegotiate existing agreements based on local market knowledge and expertise; goal is to build and maintain a strong competitive edge for KoiRide in the New York market
• Driver Relations: Establish rapport with and support the NY Freelance Drivers to enhance the Driver and Guest experience with the company. Coordinate onboarding of new Drivers; assist them with operations, service, safety and technology questions, concerns and suggestions; work closely with each Driver to ensure they are fulfilling all of the service and operating requirements per their Driver Agreement. Ensure the Driver’s vehicles meet Koi’s quality guidelines and are compliant with state, local and airport ordinances and regulations.
• Work closely with Director and Dispatch peers to enforce full usage of the Freelance Driver App
• Actively work Curbside at JFK, LGA and EWR (and other locations as needed) on a regular basis

and especially during high-demand periods. Coordinate closely with Koi Dispatch, Airport Greeter Teams and Drivers & Suppliers to help ensure a seamless arrival experience for the Guests of our Client Partners

• Align with and support all KPI / KOR metrics of the company to reach the best outcomes

• Share New York area ground transportation market trends; track competitors’ activities and note their strengths & weaknesses; share airport/city/regulatory news and reports; provide actionable recommendations to grow & maintain a competitive edge while maximizing revenue
• Nurture relationships with industry stakeholders including Airport Authorities, Visit New York, JFK Airport Chamber of Commerce, local transportation regulatory bodies, etc., to support the growth of the New York City operation and company

• The successful candidate should demonstrate an ability to lead and manage a team, fostering collaboration and promote active problem-solving, leading to win-win outcomes

· Ability to quickly establish rapport with a wide variety of stakeholders and create long-term mutually profitable business partnerships

· Strong quantitative and analytical competency

· Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word

· A self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills

· Flexibility and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment

Preferred Education Qualifications

· College Bachelor’s Degree in Business

Preferred Qualifications

· 5 years of experience in the Airport Ground Transportation Industry

· Previous experience working with Independent Contractor Drivers, Ride Share Operators and Black Car companies

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
