General Factory - Machine Operator 1

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Portland, OR (North)

Shift: Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm, occasional overtime.

Pay: $20 hourly, depending on experience.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Practice and follow all required safety regulations. 
• Maintain work area. Keep equipment, tools, and workspace in clean and safe working condition.
• Operates a Sprayer (technical skill set) to glaze our beautiful handmade tiles to specification.
• Maintain and log all daily and weekly spray equipment and environmental control records. 
• Perform all duties as assigned by supervisor. 
• Cross-trains and supports general factory production goals 

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

Reports to Manufacturing Supervisor. Secondary report to Process Lead. 
Organizational relationships: 

• Frequent contact with most manufacturing positions, including sprayers, machine operators, inspectors, and maintenance staff.
• Occasional contact with Scheduler & Operations Director.

Skills/Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, ceramics, or warehousing environment.
• Hybrid shift. May have to work 2nd shift 11am-7pm as needed. 
• Background in painting, ceramics, automobile, house etc. desired 
• 18 years old
• Consistent attendance record and adherence to the attendance policy for Ann Sacks. 
• Ability to communicate effectively for manufacturing production processes. 
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. 
• Strong attention to detail; takes pride in their work 
• Physical requirements: This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Regularly lifting of 20-30 pounds, occasional 50 pounds.

• Ability to follow all safety policies, procedures, company's rules and processes.
