Opportunity

Under the general guidance of the Controller - Americas FP&A, Marine & Switchgear, this position provides financial and analytical support, as well as a direct business partnership to the Power Systems – Service Parts and Service product lines. In addition, provides financial and analytical support to the Supply Chain Sales and Operations Planning team (S&OP/SIOP). The individual will work closely with the respective business Finance leaders in America, France, China, Southeast Asia and India, along with the Global KPS Controller (Andy Rindt) and Vice President – Aftermarket Parts and Service, Power Systems (Ashish Dutta).

Specific Responsibilities

• Business partner with Power Systems – Service Parts and Service product lines. Provide objective, insightful analysis of financial performance. Interpret and communicate in a straightforward manner to enable good, fact and data-based decision making. Analyze, quantify, and present business results in financial terms.
• Develop relevant real-time reporting and dashboards to provide ongoing insights to the Service Parts team.
• Lead and guide the annual Service Part and Service Financial Plan process along with partnering in development of the bi-annual Strategic Plan.
• Partner with Marketing and Sales on new customer acquisitions and job prospects evaluating pricing/margin, inventory requirements, etc. to establish long-run, sustainable and profitable, customer partnerships.
• Partner with Service Parts business team to identify cost reductions and evaluate strategic investments to drive competitive advantages in the market.
• Responsible for KPS North America Sales and Operations Planning consolidation processes from a quality and productivity perspective.This entails partnering with the Supply Chain team on building a concise 18 Month Rolling Forecast.
• Partner with the KPS North America Selling team on budget maintenance.Provide objective, insightful analysis of budget performance. Communicate in a straightforward manner to enable adherence to strategic objectives.
• Responsible for continuously improving the business’ financial processes from a quality and productivity perspective. Use benchmarking and best practice information to gain perspective and better utilize the various Business Systems in place throughout the business. Use of disciplined continuous improvement techniques is encouraged.
• Execute special projects and analysis, including team leadership for larger projects, as directed by the manager and Business Management Team.
• Be a resource for others. Assist (train) others in accounting methods and share Kohler Co. policies and knowledge.Assist non-financial associates in interpreting financial results and in analyzing the financial impact of alternative actions and decisions.

Relationships And Contacts

Internal

• Reports to the Controller – Americas FP&A, Marine & Switchgear.
• Frequent contact with Global Service Parts Business team, Regional GMs and Finance leaders.
• Works closely with key business managers and all levels of financial personnel in the Power Systems Business.
• Interacts on a regular basis with a variety of Group and Corporate Accounting personnel.

External

• Works with external auditors and external tax preparers.
