Job Title: Dental Orthodontics Laboratory Technician

Job Description:

The Dental Orthodontics Laboratory Technician is responsible for creating orthodontic appliances and devices for patients. These devices can include retainers, braces, mouthguards, and other orthodontic appliances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate Orthodontic Appliances: Use dentist prescriptions to create orthodontic appliances. This includes bending wire to create retainers and braces, and molding and casting materials for other appliances.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished orthodontic appliances to ensure they meet the Orthodontic’s prescription and quality standards. Make adjustments as necessary.
• Maintenance of Equipment: Regularly clean and maintain laboratory tools and equipment to ensure their longevity and safety.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with orthodontists and other dental staff to ensure patient needs are met. This may involve discussing specific cases and suggesting appropriate appliances.

Qualifications:

• Not required prior experience, but the person should have the attention to detail and good manual dexterity (key qualification).
• Knowledge of orthodontic appliances and fabrication techniques is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
