Job Description:

The Shared Services Billing Team - Associate is a member of the billing team relative to the administration of client engagement billing including processing, analyzing, summarizing, drafting and editing client billing details while demonstrating excellent attention to detail and superior client service. In this role, you will perform a range of duties including collaborating with other billing team members, as well as client service teams and Crowe Finance.
The successful candidate should enjoy working in an environment of continual improvement and should demonstrate excellent attention to detail. This position requires extensive people, communication, project coordination, organizational, and process skills along with knowledge of the internal business practices and priorities to support multiple projects with a high level of focus on quality, accuracy, and confidentiality in all work products. Reports to the Shared Services Billing Leader and is a member of the Shared Services Business Unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Day-to-day administration of billing coordination and operations related to the billing processes and related tasks
  • Complete client billing processes by preparing monthly billing analysis, summaries, draft invoice details and other data analysis as needed
  • Ensure billings are in accordance with contract terms to produce accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Support WIP and monitor billing adjustments and updates as needed.
  • Provide consistent, high quality and on-time delivery of service
  • Ensure integrity of data entered in the systems, including Workday and other systems used in the billing process
  • Utilize tracking systems to ensure all billing projects are assigned and are completed timely
  • Commit and monitor as needed to ensure Business Unit service level agreements are either met or exceeding performance expectations
  • Collaborate to ensure billing and related tasks move through the appropriate workflows in a timely manner
  • Address and implement potential improvements to the Billing System, which include without limitation, workflow, reporting, metadata fields, clauses, templates, operational risks, and change management
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1-2 years of experience preferably in a business-related field
  • Background in billing, billing terminology, and financial analysis
  • Ability to build strong respectful and professional working relationships at all levels, internal and external to the Firm
  • Strong work ethic and desire to produce results as part of a successful practice
  • Strong verbal communication and people related skills
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as other web based and database solutions with the ability to quickly learn other programs and applications
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to complete work and projects
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • College Degree in a business-related field
  • Experience in the professional services industry
  • Experience with Workday
  • Professional presence, positive attitude, and exceptional client service skills
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to support key assignments of confidential nature and exercise a high level of confidentiality in all information, work products and communications
  • Process orientation and analytical skills to identify and report trends and make recommendations
  • Strong problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills with ability to apply logic to find solutions while learning and applying various ways in which to make revisions using software applications
  • Ability to understand and strictly adhere to the brand and quality standards and procedures established by Crowe
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, time management, analytical and reporting skills
  • Agile and flexible with ability to demonstrate openness to new challenges, opportunities, continuous learning, and able to easily adapt to change
  • Effective skills in a high energy environment to balance and prioritize responsibilities while leveraging others for assistance as needed
  • Desire to leverage technology to solve business problems with ability to guide or assist internal clients on use of software, tools, and processes
  • Ability to function in high stress situations attributed to tight deadlines and multiple client and team needs
ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Ability to work flexible schedule and hours based on project work and peak busy times.
  • Overtime may be expected especially during peak busy times
  • Ability to travel for training sessions or meetings, if needed

At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $17.35 to $34.26 per hour.
