Your Mission:As a Bindery Operator, you will:
  • Machine Operation: Operate various bindery equipment, including but not limited to, folding machines, collators, saddle stitchers, and perfect binders.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the production process to ensure the quality of finished products, including proper trimming, folding, and binding. Perform regular quality checks to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to maintain a safe and healthy working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
Your knowledge of bindery equipment operation, use of tools for maintenance, and mechanical expertise, including problem-solving skills, will be valued, recognized, and rewarded.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Highschool graduate or equivalent
  • Familiarity with different paper weights, sizes, kinds, and colors to be able to identify paper conditions (i.e., excessive moisture or curling that frequently requires additional machine adjustment).
  • Proficiency in configuration, tuning, protocols, functions, and constraints of machinery for executing a comprehensive spectrum of standard and specialized folding, collating, and cutting printed materials to achieve a final product.
