Kocher + Beck USA is Hiring an Etching Lead - 2nd Shift (FT) Near Lenexa, KS

Goals and Tasks:

Streamline production by building and supporting a team that can move quality work through the Etching Department.
Maintain a safe work environment by taking preventative measures to prevent and minimize workplace injuries.
Drive profitability through reducing waste, driving efficiency, and making other cost saving measures.
Recruit, retain and engage top talent to continue to deliver quality product and evolve processes as business grows and changes.
Manage and prioritize department production by communicating urgent dies, workflow state, and other goals established by the Etching and Production Supervisor/s.
Communicate timely with appropriate teams to resolve dies experiencing issues.
Allocate team and resources as the work may require movement to meet timelines and cover attendance gaps.
Respond to data by sharing themes appropriately and timely, apply data to employee performance accurately.
Problem solve and communicate if production timelines are not on track to be met.
Pass along necessary and vital information and observations to your supervisor and multi-shift leadership.
Educate the team on the correct way and train when you observe incorrect steps being taken, coach, or provide corrective action when appropriate.
Provide and oversee that training is on track and support continued training that delivers a timely, quality product.
Support a safety culture that is inline with keeping all employee safe.
Provide talent assessments to accurately capture employee performance.
Deliver performance and conduct related recognition and feedback.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

Ability to organize and prioritize workload.

Create and cultivate positive relationships.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Stand and walk for length of shift.
Mechanical Aptitude.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience within similar management / supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
